Overview
Takada Green Land is a basic accommodation and onsen facility in a small community tucked into the lush mountains on the beautiful Takata river. This older facility is about 30 minutes by free shuttle bus from Koguchi, making this a good option for those walking the Kogumotori-goe and Ogumotori-goe sections of the Kumano Kodo. There are three buildings, the Main Building has western guestrooms and hot spring baths; the Annex (Original Building) has Japanese style guestrooms; and the original building houses the dining room. The stone outdoor hot spring baths (Kumotori Onsen) are a highlight of a stay. Plans including use of the onsite saunas are also possible.
This facility was formerly called "Takata Green Land".

Within a property, room configurations, sizes, and furnishings will often vary from one guest room to another. Because many of these regional lodges have been built, expanded, or updated over generations, no two rooms are completely identical. One room might feature a distinct layout, different views, or unique decorative accents compared to the room next door. Embracing these shifts in style and layout is a core part of the journey, offering an authentic window into the distinct regional charm and hospitality of the trail.
